मेरे ख़याल से यही वो सवाल है
जो नए नवेले एक्टर्स के दिमाग़ में बार-बार कौंधता है।
मेरे इन-बॉक्स में भी सबसे ज़्यादा यही सवाल उभरता है।
उनके लिए आर्टिस्ट कार्ड एक हौवा (Horrible thing) है।
तो आज आप जान लीजिए कि आर्टिस्ट कार्ड ज़रूरी है या नहीं।
इसका जवाब हाँ भी है और ना भी। कैसे? जान लीजिए।
सबसे पहले तो ये बात दिमाग़ में बैठा लीजिए कि
देश के श्रम क़ानून के हिसाब से हर देशवासी को उचित तरीक़े से
रोज़ी-रोटी कमाने और रोज़गार करने का अधिकार है।
आर्टिस्ट कार्ड इसमें बाधा नहीं है।
मेरा तो पिछले आठ सालो का अनुभव रहा है
कि कई स्टूडेन्ट्स को बिना आर्टिस्ट कार्ड के ही,
सिर्फ़ ऑडिशन के आधार पर काम मिला है।
अभी भी यही हो रहा है।
अगर प्रोडक्शन हाउस को आपका लुक और एक्टिंग भा गई
तो आर्टिस्ट कार्ड कोई मसला है ही नहीं।
आप बेहिचक काम कर सकते हैं। कोई बाहर का आदमी
आपको आकर सेट से निकाल नहीं सकता।
आपको काम मिल जाएगा।
टेंशन न लेँ।
लेकिन उन झाँसेबाज़ों से हमेशा दूर रहें जो कार्ड को ज़रूरी बताकर
आपसे पैसे हड़प लेते हैं।
फिर एक बार मैं दोहरा रहा हूँ कि
कार्ड होने या न होने से काम मिलने का कोई सम्बंध नहीं है।
आप बस जमकर ऑडिशन दें।
अब ये जान लीजिए कि कार्ड क्यों ज़रूरी है।
जितने भी पेशे हैं उन सबके कर्मचारियों के संगठन (Unions) होते हैं।
जैसे डॉक्टरों की यूनियन, शिक्षकों की, नर्सों की, ऑटो वालों की,
मज़दूरों की और यहाँ तक कि फेरी वालों की भी यूनियन होती है,
जो उनके हितों के लिए, उनके हक़ के लिए सतत प्रयत्नशील रहती हैं।
जैसे ऑटो वालों को पैसे बढ़ाने होते हैं
तो यूनियन निर्णय करके हड़ताल करा देती है।
किसी डॉक्टर या मज़दूर के साथ कुछ ग़लत होता है
तो उनकी यूनियनें उनके हित में सम्बंधित एजेंसीज़ पर
कार्रवाई करने के लिए दबाव डालती है।
इसी तरह एक्टर्स की भी यूनियन है।
सबसे बड़ी और शक्तिशाली यूनियन है "सिंटा" ((CINTAA- CINE & TV ARTISTES ASSOCIATION )।
ओम पुरी जी इसके अध्यक्ष और सुशांत सिंह सचिव हैं।
अगर आप इस यूनियन के सदस्य हैं
तो ये यूनियन "सिंटा" आपके हितों की रक्षा करेगी।
जैसे कोई प्रोड्यूसर आपके पैसे नहीं दे रहा है
तो सिंटा आपको पैसे दिलाने के लिए आवश्यक कार्रवाई करेगी।
तो आपके जो भी अधिकार हैं
उनकी रक्षा सिंटा करेगी।
इससे आप अपने आपको अकेला नहीं समझेंगे
बल्कि आत्मविश्वास से भरे रहेंगे कि कोई आपके साथ धोखा नहीं कर सकता।
सिंटा का सदस्य बनने के लिए पहले आपको वर्क परमिट कार्ड बनाना होगा, जो 10 हज़ार रुपए में बनता है।
दूसरे साल फिर 10 हज़ार में इसका नवीनीकरण कराना होगा।
फिर तीसरे साल 15 हज़ार रुपए में आपको स्थाई सदस्यता का कार्ड मिलेगा। सिंटा के कार्ड के लिए आपने
कम से कम एक किसी भी भाषा की फ़िल्म में
एक्टर के रूप में काम किया हो
या फिर किसी भी भाषा के कुल छह एपिसोड किए हों।
सिंटा के इस नियम से ही आप समझ सकते हैं कि
बिना कार्ड के भी आप काम कर सकते हैं
क्योंकि कार्ड तभी मिलेगा जब आप काम कर चुके होंगे।
तो समझ लीजिए कि आर्टिस्ट कार्ड आपके हितों की रक्षा के लिए है,
काम मिलने की गारंटी नहीं है।
अब कई अन्य लोगों ने भी एक्टर्स के नाम पर संगठन बना लिए हैं,
लेकिन उनका क़द और ताक़त सिंटा जैसी नहीं है।
आप ग़ौर कीजिए... अगर आपको अपनी रक्षा के लिए
कोई बॉडीगार्ड रखना हो तो आप किस तरह का गार्ड रखेंगे?
शक्तिशाली या कमज़ोर सा?
कमज़ोर बॉडी गार्ड भले ही कम फ़ीस में आपको सर्विस दे, लेकिन आप उसे नहीं चुनेंगे। आप शक्तिशाली को ही चुनेंगे। इसीलिए आर्टिस्ट कार्ड सिंटा का ही बनाएं क्योंकि CINTAA सबसे अच्छा गैर राजनीतिक संगठन है।

बड़े अफसोस के साथ ये पोस्ट लिख रहा हूँ कि Casting Director किस नीचता पर उतर आये हॆ !
कुछ दिन पहले मॆं मेर दोस्त raaj malhotra के साथ " Bodhitree Production " reliance सेंटर , 5 फ्लोर , मे गया था !वहाँ उसे cheque collect करना था ! Raaj ने वहाँ मुझे casting director " Riaz" से मिलवाया , ऑर उस ने मेरा एक general audition ले लिया !
Friday यानी 10 july को रात करीब 11बजे मुझे " Riaz" no.9967951685 का फ़ोन आआ कि " सर आप फ्री हैं " मैने कहा yes तो उस ने कहा कि role निकला
principle का character हॆ ! मैने कह दिया कि मैं एक आधा दिन वाला कान नही करता ! तो उस ने कहाँ अछा काम हैं ! मैने भी सोचा चलो ठीक हॆ ! मैने पूछा payment कया हॆ तो बोला 2500/हज़ार ! मैने कहाँ कि इतने मॆ कान नही करता ! अगर 5000/हजार देते हॆ तो मॆं करूँ गा ! फ़िर वही लालच वाली बाते - .सर ईस वार् कर लीजिए , अगली बाढ़ अच्छे रोल्स के लीये बुलाऊ गा ! हमारे और भी हॆ , ये Big Magic का शो हॆ इस का बजेट कम हैं ! तॊ थोड़ा मॆ ने भी पेमेंट कम की ! लेकिन बात बनीं नही औऱ finally मैने उसे sorry कह दिया कि मॆ इस से कम मे काम नही करूँ गा !
अब वो अपने औकात पे आ गया , मुझ से कहाँ कि " आप ने bhoditree का ऑफीस हॆ " मैने कहाँ हा , तो बोला " वहाँ कभी मत आना.. . . वहाँ आप कौ कभी काम नही मिले गा . . और यहाँ यहां मेरी पेह्चान हॆ वहां भी कहाँ दूँगा कि आप कौ काम न दे ! " इस से पहले कि मॆ कूछ कहता उस ने फ़ोन काट दिया , !
सवाल ये हॆ कि क्या अब actor , casting director की शर्तों पे काम करे गा , अगर उस की बात नही मानी तो वो उस office मे आप कौ ban करा देगा क्या ?
15- 20 साल के अपने carriers मे किसी ने आज तक ऐसी बात नही की ! अगर वो मेरे जैसे सीनियर actor के साथ ऐसी बात कर सकता हॆ तो जो नये हॆ या लड़कियों के साथ कैसी बातें करता होगा या seduce करता होगा , ये बात समज सकते हॆ !
पहले तो मैंने भी सोचा कि छोडो जानें दो , यहां काम नही मिला तो कही और कर लेंगे !
